Bug ID: 494342 Summary: Dolphin won't allow to save NAS password anymore after Plasma 6.2 upgrade Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.08.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: angeloorr...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 174565 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=174565&action=edit No option to Save the connection for future logins SUMMARY Dolphin won't allow to save NAS password anymore after Plasma 6.2 upgrade STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. A working NAS connection is present in the Dolphin "Remote" section in the file explorer 2. Click on the NAS (the name of my smb connection) entry 3. Provide NAS username and password (Option to save credentials is not available anymore) 4. Access NAS successfully 2. Restarting the computer and attempting to enter the NAS again would cause dolphin to ask for user credentials once again OBSERVED RESULT When ending a user session with Switch off, Restart or Log out buttons, the NAS cannot be accessed anymore unless the username and password are once again re inserted EXPECTED RESULT The first time the NAS smb connection is made and added to dolphin, the Save option should be available so that in future NAS login, the user does not need to provide login credentials once again.
