            Bug ID: 494117
           Summary: Instant android app crash out of nowhere, reinstall
                    doesn't help (Win11/Andr14)

            Status: REPORTED

changes android store

Behaviour: Out of nowhere my Android app crashes as soon as I open it.
When trying to re-pair, I get zero response after accepting (Andr req, Win
ack), then afterwards the app starts crashing again (Win req, Andr ack).
This leads me to believe the pairing is fine (aside from not happing one way),
but once something is paired the crashes simply start occuring.
No active system changes were made!

Env:
1) W11 x64 latest patches (none installed since 09-12; only WinDef Definitions
-> but system uses Bitdefender)
1a) Offline installer 24.02-3692 -> reinstall doesn't help (wiped
%localappdata\kde* before installing again)
1b) Firewall disabled for tests, no change.
2) Android 14 SecUpdates 09-05
2a) Google Pixel 8a; build AP2A.240905.003.A1
2b) Store version 1.32.4

As for 2(b) - changes have been made recently, and they touched the trusted
device list.
See attachment.
Possible regression?

I *did* notice the transfers getting very flaky ("I sent the stuff" - "no you
didn't stfu" -> restart Windows host app) in the last 2 days (and don't use it
*every* day) which was an issue I had until fixing my WiFi setup wayyy back (2
months ago or so) -> after which it became mega stable.
So I was wondering what was going on there. Maybe it takes a while to "build
up" in terms of a cache file or whatever. Transfer issues might also be
completely unrelated and random, wouldn't interpret too much into it for now
given the recent code change that sounds pretty fitting to me.

Workaround(s): None.
Tried fixes: Reinstall (clean) Windows; reinstall (clean) Android; re-pair
devices -> nothing worked.
