            Bug ID: 493853
Summary: [Feature Request]: Add Support For Imperial
                    Measurements
    Classification: Applications
           Product: KDE Itinerary
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Android
                OS: Android 14.x
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: vkra...@kde.org
          Reporter: sawyer.r.steph...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Currently, the Itinerary app only supports Metric units (e.g., kilometers,
liters, kilograms) for distance, volume, and weight. This can be challenging
for users in regions where Imperial units (e.g., miles, gallons, pounds) are
commonly used. To enhance the app's usability and inclusivity, the app needs to
have support for Imperial measurements. As a result, users who are accustomed
to Imperial would benefit from the option to view information in a format that
is more familiar to them.

Key Features:

Measurement Units:

Provide an option to switch between metric and Imperial units for distance,
temperature, volume, and weight.
Allow users to set their preferred measurement system in the app settings.
User Experience:

Ensure that the unit conversion is seamless throughout the app, including
itinerary distances, travel times, and temperature forecasts.
Include clear indicators of the measurement system currently in use, to avoid
confusion.
Implementation:

Utilize a toggle or dropdown in the app settings for users to easily switch
between metric and Imperial measurements.
Ensure that all relevant calculations are accurately converted and displayed
based on the selected measurement system.
Benefits:

Enhancing user experience by accommodating different preferences and increasing
the app’s accessibility for a wider audience.
Potentially attracting more users in regions where Imperial measurements are
standard, thereby expanding the app’s user base.
