Bug ID: 493605 Summary: Application Menu displays individual system settings in search after reboot, despite these being excluded from Plasma Search Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Application Menu (Kicker) Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: charliebur...@duck.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 174047 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=174047&action=edit The "Applications" and "System Settings" search tab both appearing despite the "System Settings" plugin being disabled SUMMARY After disabling the System Settings plugin in the Plasma Search tab of System Settings, both KRunner and Kicker stop displaying individual settings as expected; however, upon reboot, the system settings tab reappears when searching under Kicker. KRunner continues to work as expected, only showing applications, and .config/krunnerrc still lists "krunner_systemsettingsEnabled=false". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open system settings to "Search" -> "Plasma Search". 2. Ensure the System Settings plugin is disabled. 3. Reboot the system. 4. Open Kicker and simply enter the beginning of any System Settings category into the search bar. OBSERVED RESULT Both the search "Applications" and "System Settings" tabs appear. EXPECTED RESULT Only the "Applications" menu should appear.
