Kwin went into a restart loop until my computer crashed. Also, this was not a problem on KDE 5. Not sure if something changed in kwin or in Java to trigger this bug. I run into it multiple times a day, and sometimes kwin restarts successfully, other times it restarts repeatedly until it bricks my computer so that I have to restart.
