No. When one dev makes such intrusive changes, there should be convos with the community or at least with the KDE team. This way he/she'll realize if the change is welcome or not. Now the best way is to revert for it ruins people workflow. Felix Ernst can't set the standards, the community should set them given Dolphin is the firt file manager in the world which makes such intrusive change and changes the habits and the muscle memory for the OGs.
