I'm also unable to reproduce the problem on git-master. Just to make sure we
have the same settings, that are related, can you share a screenshot of System
Settings - Power Management - On AC Power? (I assume the laptop is connected to
AC power)
I've attached a screenshot of my settings
In particular, When laptop lid closed: Sleep
"Even when an external monitor is connected" is unchecked
