I suspect that your problem is related to the anti-virus program, it is clear that digiKam-8.4.0 has been downloaded more often than the test versions of digiKam-8.5.0, which is still new and unknown. Such things are taken into account when assessing unknown programs. We generally recommend excluding digiKam and ExifTool from anti-virus programs.
