Bug ID: 493117 Summary: KonsolePart: “Start in same directory as current session” is ineffective Classification: Applications Product: konsole Version: 23.08.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kpart Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: samj...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hello. I don't know since when this bug exists, but the profile setting: General > General Settings > Start in same directory as current session (which is below “Initial Directory”) is totally ineffective. IIUC Profiles are common to both Konsole and Yakuake and I confirm that at least for my version it exists. Opening new sessions whether in Konsole or Yakuake always goes to the Home directory and not the same as current session. I remember very well that long back this feature existed (it should, else why the option!) but it stopped working at some point. I see that around 6 years back also this is mentioned on the net: (https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/a2n8c2/users_of_yakuake_what_features_would_you_like_to/) So please look into this and restore this functionality.
