Bug ID: 492700 Summary: KDE Connect Doesn't Work Unless Wifi Is Enabled Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: 23.08.5 Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: messaging-application Assignee: si...@ergotech.com Reporter: k...@lew1s.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY KDE Connect does not see my phone unless I have wifi enabled. Even if I'm connected to the same wired network and I can ping my phone, and my phone can ping my laptop, it won't recognize it. I don't think it's a network issue because I use a dumb wireless AP, and there's no routing or anything happening. There's no firewalls enabled or anything like that. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Disable Wifi and hardwire your computer to the same LAN as your phone 2. Open KDE Connect, and it will not find your device. 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux Mint 22 KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Qt Version: 5.15.13 (built against 5.15.13) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm running the KDE connect app on a Pixel 7, running the CalyxOS custom ROM. Other than the issue with it connecting to my Linux machine when it's on Ethernet, the app works just fine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
