Bug ID: 492572 Summary: Widget Positions on Secondary Screen Scramble After Restart and Cause Notification Placement Bug Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Notifications Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: 2724167...@qq.com CC: k...@privat.broulik.de Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY When using multiple KDE desktop widgets on a secondary screen, their positions often get scrambled after a system restart. Manually repositioning them causes a bug where all desktop notifications start appearing at the top left corner of the secondary screen. This issue can only be resolved by restarting, but the widgets' positions get scrambled again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Place multiple KDE desktop widgets on a secondary screen. 2. Restart the system. 3. Notice the widgets' positions have changed. 4. Manually reposition the widgets. 5. Observe that all desktop notifications now appear at the top left corner of the secondary screen. OBSERVED RESULT After restarting, the positions of the widgets on the secondary screen become scrambled. Manually adjusting the positions causes a bug where all desktop notifications appear in the top left corner of the secondary screen. EXPECTED RESULT The positions of the widgets should remain consistent after a restart. Adjusting the widget positions manually should not cause any issues with the location of desktop notifications. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.10.7-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This issue is particularly disruptive as it affects the usability of desktop notifications and the overall stability of widget placement across system restarts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
