Just wanted to add that this also happens with the "Built-In" color profile on
my Asus G14 GA402RJ (Ryzen CPU and Radeon iGPU, dGPU disabled) on KWin 6.1.4
with the AMDGPU Driver.
With the built-in color profile enable, plasmashell was using up to 60% of my
GPU at idle, according to amdgpu_top. After disabling it, the GPU utilization
went down to 0.
I've read quite a few unresolved threads online about very similar sounding
issues with KDE on high-performance laptops, usually in regards to the high
idle power usage. Those might be unrelated though.
