You just to drop item from DK into right region of Gimp GUI, typically here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/digikam/31095559876/in/dateposted-public/ If D&D do not work to Gimp canvas, well it's a problem into Gimp to support this action at the right place in Gimp Implementation.
