Bug ID: 491990 Summary: Software closes abruptly while playing video. Classification: Miscellaneous Product: unknown Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: drkonqi Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: ejmil...@outlook.es Target Milestone: --- Application: subtitlecomposer (0.8.0) Qt Version: 5.15.13 Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Operating System: Linux 6.8.0-41-lowlatency x86_64 Windowing System: X11 Distribution: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend] -- Information about the crash: Editing and modifying subtitles based on srt file. Reference video file has AC3 Dolby Digital audio (6 ch) At one point while playing the video, the program abruptly closes. It always happens at the same point. The srt file is in ISO 8859-1 format. If I select a subtitle after the timeline of that point, the program also closes. I will carry out tests by converting the video file to another codec, container or even changing the audio file to 2 channels and lower bandwidth. I am interested in generating the synchronized srt file and then adding it to the original video by multiplexing in MKVToolnix. So far the crash prevents me from finishing the edit. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: Subtitle Composer (subtitlecomposer), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x000057b1cf2f340b in ???
