Plasma crashing isn't unexpected when the whole session goes down.

I'm assuming you were using a Wayland session, right? Can you get a backtrace
of kwin_wayland's crash using `coredumpctl`? See the docs for how to do this at
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_using_coredumpctl
