Ouvradou I don't think this is a bug. If it was in Kdenlive version 0.9.1 (when was that released?) there must be a reason why it was taken out in later versions. I am using Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS with the latest version of Kdenlive, and the preview panel displays images and the first frame of videos. It has done that in previous versions in the same fashion. It is a pre-view not a pre-play or pre-hear. For files with an unknown, unsupported or not displayable mime type, a symbol is displayed: a document icon with a no-entry (?) symbol.
