Bug ID: 491695 Summary: Vector copy-paste issue between documents with different resolutions Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.2.3 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Layers/Vector Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: aivanjo...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Vector copy-paste issue between documents with different resolutions STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a document (e.g., 2000x2000px) with a resolution of 300ppi. 2. Create a second document with the same dimensions but a different resolution (e.g., 2000x2000px and 72ppi). 3. Draw or add vector content, such as a rectangle, in the higher resolution document. 4. Copy the vector content. 5. Paste the content into the lower resolution document. OBSERVED RESULT The result differs depending on whether the vector layer or the vector element are copied: Option 1: Vector Layer - The pasted object apparently appears in the correct location, but when attempting to select the vector object with Select Shapes Tool, the real vector is shown smaller and in a different location than the preview, possibly towards the top left side of the document. Option 2: Vector Element - When copying and pasting the vector object instead of the vector layer, it simply appears at a reduced size and in a different location. EXPECTED RESULT The vector should paste in the correct location and be manipulable without issues. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Krita v5.2.3 Windows 11 Pro ADDITIONAL INFORMATION · Any manipulation of the vector with Select Shapes Tool affects only the real vector and not the preview of the vector object. Once any transformation is applied, the real vector becomes visible. · The same issue occurs with color changes; only the real vector is affected. · If the transformation tool (Ctrl+T) is used on the layer after pasting, the transformation controls span from the preview of the vector to its real position, and the initial preview of the vector disappears, leaving only the smaller real vector visible. · If the copy and paste is done from the lower resolution document to the higher resolution one, the real vector dimensions are larger and its location is possibly off the canvas towards the bottom right side. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
