SUMMARY
General crash behavior was first seen on 2024-08-13. Only occurs when using
Save As, or Save Copy As. Standard Save or CTRL-S is unaffected.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any File
2. Choose File > Save As (or File Save Copy As)
3. Application crashes, closes and vanishes.
OBSERVED RESULT
Kate application vanishes immediately after clicking "Save As" or "Save Copy
As" or CTRL+SHIFT+S
If no changes were made to a file, reopening that file shows no messages.
If any changes were made, the warning "The file was not closed properly" is
displayed upon reopening and the option to Recover Data is available.
EXPECTED RESULT
Save As dialog box normally appears next.
