According to this merge request, there already is an interface priority set
such that wifi connections will be preferred over bluetooth if both are
connected. The relevant code still seems to be in the most recent released
version of KDE connect.
Can you confirm that you have an active connection for both wifi and bluetooth
at the moment you are sending the files?
