I can reproduce this with Gboard, but not with Samsung keyboard where < and >
work perfectly. (there are a few other characters that don't work there either,
like ยค)
If it works with some virtual keyboards and not others, it seems like this is
an issue on the side of the android app, not the desktop app. Reassigning there
