Bug ID: 491137 Summary: Firefox's {"browser.display.use_document_fonts": 0} causes overlap of labels for replaced icons in search bar. Classification: Websites Product: www.kde.org Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs URL: https://develop.kde.org./docs/plasma/# OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kde-...@kde.org Reporter: 4wy78...@rokejulianlockhart.addy.io Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 172191 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=172191&action=edit Screenshot of the problem at https://develop.kde.org./docs/plasma/#. SUMMARY Firefox exposes the accessibility preference "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" via about:preferences#general. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set `{"browser.display.use_document_fonts": 0}` in `config.json` (or about:config). 2. Visit https://develop.kde.org./docs/plasma/#. OBSERVED RESULT The search icon's fallback label in the search bar overlaps the hint text. EXPECTED RESULT It shouldn't, especially because it shouldn't be reverting to a text label, even if the icons happen to be served by a font. SVG icons would remediate this. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.9.12-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 30.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 5700 Manufacturer: ASRock Product Name: X670E Taichi -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
