I'm not seeing a problem opening URLs that were copied to the clipboard with
spaces before and/or after the URL
I do see spaces in the clipboard when I copy text with leading or trailing
spaces
This is consistent with what I'd expect, based on the text in the settings

Are you seeing this cause issues in your applications?
I do notice that when I paste text in Kate, it removes trailing spaces by
default when the file is saved (Settings - Open/Save - General - Automatic
Cleanups on Save)
If I turn this off (and in other editors that don't cleanup white spaces), text
is pasted from the clipboard as-is
What application are you pasting text into? It might be that the behavior of
that has changed.
Tested on Kubuntu 24.04
