- I uninstalled digiKam 8.4 via the Windows Control Panel (Systemsteuerung)
- I verfied, that there is no subdirectoy digikam in C:\Program Files
- In reinstalled digiKam. Btw., I got the binary from
https://mirrors.xtom.de/kde/
- I verified, that now there is a subdirectoy digikam in C:\Program Files
- I started digiKam, had lunch and repeated the steps from the previous
comments, with exactly the same result.
- I do get the database lock, as you can see from the debug.log
(VIDAR_digikam804_debug_2.LOG)
