--- Comment #226 from Stanley Fertig <stratocas...@icloud.com> --- Hi Rob, Well the good news is that I replaced my Serial to USB adapter with a new one and that solved the problem. My iMac can now communicate with and control the Dome through kStars. Thank you for that! I’ve run into a new problem which I assume is easy to fix but I’m stuck: Although the INDI window in kStars shows that my iMac is connected to my 10Micron mount via WiFi (which the mount confirms), I can’t control the mount in kStars. I think I need to manually input the IP address (which I have from the mount) and a Port number (10µ recommends 3490 or 3492). But having tried all that, I still get an error and can’t control the mount. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Stan — Stanley Fertig 20 Henry Street, PH3S Brooklyn, NY 11201 +1 917 361-0632 stratocas...@icloud.com > On Jun 23, 2024, at 2:55 AM, Rob <bugzilla_nore...@kde.org> wrote: > > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405437 > > --- Comment #225 from Rob <rlanca...@gmail.com> --- > The best way to verify if a serial to usb adapter is working that I have found > on the Mac is to go to the /dev folder in the terminal and see if a tty_USB0 > or some similar device shows up after you plug it in.
