            Bug ID: 490050
Summary: Window rules present screens as opaque numeric values
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: rules
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: rocketra...@gmail.com
                CC: isma...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When using the "Screen" option of Window Rules on a multi-monitor system, the
value expected is an opaque integer like 0, 1, or 2.

The meaning of these integers is not clear, and does not correspond to any
known value in the Display Configuration, which now appears to use monitor
model/serial to identify screens.

Through experimentation, it turns out on my system that 0 is my left monitor, 1
is my middle, and 2 is my right, but that certainly isn't obvious. Ideally the
Window Rules dialog would have a drop-down for screen, where the naming
convention is consistent with Display Configuration.
