            Bug ID: 489846
Summary: Typing password in freezes lock screen when waking
monitor from power saving mode, takes ~10-20 seconds
                    to respond
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kscreenlocker
           Version: 6.1.2
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: quickis...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When the system locks after inactivity, the monitor goes into standby/power
saving mode. On previous versions, typing anything turns the monitor back on,
and typing in the password and pressing Enter instantly unlocked the screen.
This is no longer the case. The screen lock is there without a password shown,
but even after pressing Enter, the screen lock freezes for 10 to 20 seconds and
then unlocks to the desktop.

Moving the mouse first to wake the screen and then typing in the password seems
to mitigate this.

To clarify:
On previous versions:
1) Start typing the password when the system is locked and screen is on standby
2) Monitor wakes due to activity
3) The lockscreen shows, but no password is being shown on the screen (but
still being registered)
4) Pressing Enter instantly unlocks the screen to the desktop. Moving the mouse
at any point before pressing Enter would show the password being typed into the
password input box, as normal.

On 6.1.2:
1) Start typing the password when the system is locked and screen is on standby
2) Monitor wakes due to activity
3) The lockscreen shows, but no password is being shown on the screen (but
still being registered). At this point, the lock screen is frozen. Moving the
mouse does nothing. Keystrokes are still being registered though.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Wait for system to automatically lock and monitor to go into power saving
mode
2. Start typing password. The monitor should wake up when you first start
typing
3. The lock screen is frozen for 10-20 seconds.

OBSERVED RESULT
Lockscreen freezes

EXPECTED RESULT
Lockscreen should not freeze
