I *think* I have the same issue. What happens for me:
after a timeout, KDE locks the screen, everything is okay.
after a while, the external monitor (connected over USB-C) turns off as
expected.
when I move the mouse, it turns on, but the external monitor has the wrong
resolution.
I can log in, use the system as normal, but nothing shows up on the external
screen, just the background in the wrong resolution.
I can unplug the USB-C docking station and plug it back again and everything is
fixed.
