Comparison of about pages in GIMP, Inkscape, Blender, Shotcut, Kdenlive,
Audacity
Kdenlive is a very alive and changing project, knowing the version is very
useful when reading/filing bug versions and when following tutorials.
Once a user showed me the default about page, asking to compare versions, not
realizing one had to change tabs to display the version.
I think Kdenlive might be the only software that doesn't show its version on
its "about" page without additional steps required.
I suggest that the version is included in the "Kdenlive" title of the about
window, so it is visible on all about pages.
I suggest considering adding the version to the status bar, as Blender does it.
Just by adding " v16.08.2" to the end of the status bar behind any other text
that might be displayed.
