Herewith screenshots that should answer your questions.

My monitor is not rotated.

After changing my resolution per the 'Display Configuration' the "i" in 
"Compositor" disappeared. I can't remember the resolution at the time, 
but it was less than 125%. I have tried to replicate the issue with 
resolutions from 100% to 125%, in 6.25% increments (dictated by the 
system), but it's perfect now at every resolution.

I'm glad I took the screenshot of the issue, otherwise I would think I'm 
losing my mind.
