            Bug ID: 489067
Summary: Guides and markers mismatch ("Settings -> Colors and
Guides" and "Project Settings -> Guides")
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 24.02.2
          Platform: Other
                OS: Microsoft Windows

Screenshots of the various windows/modals

Summary: In certain scenarios, the names and colors of guides and markers do
not match when comparing the following:
- KDL Settings -> Colors and Guides
- Project Settings -> Guides
- Clip -> Add marker to clip

When this happens, the "Add a marker to a clip" modal will list the correct
categories (as defined in Settings -> Colors and Guides) but the names and
colors will not match, making it tricky to select the correct category.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install KDL, avoid making changes to Settings -> Colors and Guides
2. Create a new project, add guides and markers (may not be related, but this
is what I had done)
3. Edit Settings -> Colors and Guides, renaming, recoloring, and
deleting/recreating various categories
4. Add a marker to a clip. The modal select list will list the correct
categories as defined in Settings -> Colors and Guides, but the names and
colors will not match.

My expectation: Freedom to edit/add/replace guides and markers in Settings,
with consistent matching with those shown in the modal regardless of when
changes to them were made.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

---

Addendum: It also appears that changes made to Project Settings -> Guides are
not retained at all in any scenario (not just when following the steps above)
but that should probably be reported separately.
