Behaviorly, the applet seems to work fine, but as I mentioned, sometimes it feels like it's time related. The only thing I can tell is that, even if pasting with the keyboard works fine, when I invoke the Items Menu, the topmost item IS the text I just C&P'ed, but it's not 'selected' (no checked checkbox at it left).
