            Bug ID: 488955
Summary: Logging back in functionally impossible after upgrade
                    to 6.1
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 6.1.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Session Management
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: fake.n...@posteo.net
                CC: natalie_clar...@yahoo.de
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
As of the 6.1 update a few *hours* ago, it is no longer possible to log in a
second time, necessitating full system reboots at all session changes. That is
to say that logging in from hibernation, or from a simple logout, is no longer
possible.
What one gets for ones effort: a black screen, blinking cursor, which can type
-- but which cannot do anything. It never resolves with time, and no actions --
even attempts to switch to another tty -- can be performed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in
2. Log out
3. Try to log in again

OBSERVED RESULT
Black screen of death.

EXPECTED RESULT
Anything else, for god's sake.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kernel: Zen 6.9.5
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3
Qt Version: 6.7.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I can't figure out what log to send, since restarting my laptop erases much of
the logs.
