I'm not sure if the UI problem is related to the output channel switching
problem. I've added the UI bug information to this bug, which was opened
specifically for it:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488630
When the developers get a chance to look into these issues, they can determine
if they are caused by the same thing or different things.
