I'm using a screen with a resolution of 3840x2160 rather than 3440x1440, but
other than that I've replicated this setup (in fact it's what I normally use on
my daily driver) and I can't reproduce the issue in current git master. I think
it's safe enough to assume it's been fixed in Plasma 6, as there were numerous
changes to the wallpaper color extraction code there.
