Bug ID: 488351 Summary: Strange distortion under centred panel in KDE 6.0.5/Fedora 40 Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: d...@outlook.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 170370 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=170370&action=edit Screen capture of the panel with artefacts SUMMARY Seeing strange artefacts around the KDE panel when it's in centred mode floating at the bottom of the screen. See screenshot that's attached to the report. This is a fresh installation of KDE 6.0.5 on Fedora 40 using the Breeze Dark theme and a standard wallpaper. Do note that this is an external screen connected to a (closed) laptop. It appears the code that draws the shadow around the panel is not using the correct background to render the alpha-blended shadows on.
