Bug ID: 487654 Summary: No microphone devices found Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 24.02.2 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: do...@cox.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 169894 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169894&action=edit No device found to select in dropdown SUMMARY Kdenlive in unable to detect the microphone installed to be able to record audio in-program. Other programs such as Audacity and windows system detect the microphone fine. Microphone is a Samson C01U USB microphone plugged into the computer directly. There are no drivers with the microphone, but instead it uses the Windows built-in drivers. So I did try uninstalling the device driver from device manager, then rebooting. Again windows and Audacity find the mic with no problem. However Kdenlive is not showing any selectable devices. I also uninstalled Kdenlive and installed the newest version 24.02.2 which is the current version on my system, but still same issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kdenlive 2. Select Settings > Configure Kdenlive 3. Select Capture 4. Tab over to Audio 5. Under Device the microphone should be listed to select but no devices are listed. OBSERVED RESULT No devices found to select EXPECTED RESULT Microphone should be listed to select SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows 10 Home vs 22H2, OS build 19045.4412 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
