Bug ID: 487551 Summary: Shape Adaptive Blur Preformance Issues When Applied to Image Clips Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: alright.o...@skiff.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY The Shape Adaptive Blur filter is extremely resource intensive even when applied to an image clip. It should be a lot more efficient when applied to an image clip. For example, if I enable the felter on an image clip, then extract the frame, and replace the clip with the new clip, the preformance issues no longer occur. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put an image clip in the timeline. 2. Apply Shape Adaptive Blur to the clip 3. Playback or Render. OBSERVED RESULT Massive preformance issues occur when they should not occur. EXPECTED RESULT There should be little preformance hit.
