There's a whole bunch of fixes related to that + hotplugs in 6.0.5 > Desktop should make an attempt to absorb the DRM event and seed a new DRM > surface handle to the compositor. Delaying drm events by multiple seconds is not an option, and wouldn't reliably fix this either.
