SUMMARY
When hovering the cursor over icons in the "Status and Notifications" popup, a
tooltip shows up to the left. If you then move the cursor over another item up
or to the left, the tooltip morphs into the tooltip for the new item. If
instead you move the cursor to an item down or to the right, the tooltip
briefly morphs to the new item, but then abruptly disappears and won't reappear
until you move the cursor off and back again.
