Bug ID: 487386 Summary: hidpi 1px flickering artifacts of icons above when scaling set to 175% Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: compositing Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: y2j82...@duck.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 169714 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169714&action=edit spectacle recording SUMMARY When using kde with an hidpi screen and scalingfactor set to 175% I can see flickering artifacts of the icons above. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. set scaling factor to 175% 2. log in again, line appears 3. move mouse to see flickering OBSERVED RESULT This happens even when watching videos in fullscreen. The artifacts seem to appear after opening some windows and closing them again. They disappear when changing the scaling factor but others reappear when setting it back to 175%. EXPECTED RESULT full screen windows should hide artifacts happening to other applications, which is why i assume there are some mis-calculation within the window-manager itself. Or even better artefacts should not appear :) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: asahi linux fedora40 aarch64 16k (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.2 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Keep in mind that this could also be related to experimental graphics drivers and dri. sounds similar to #464526 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
