Ok, glad we were able to clear it up.
To explain again, the camera filter filters the import tool view so that only
desired files are physically copied.
With mimetype filter, digiKam ignores the file types marked with a "-" that are
otherwise known to digiKam in the database. Physically, they are still present
in the file system, they are just no longer displayed in digiKam.
