Can't reproduce this.
First thing, default option is not Translucent, it's Adaptive.
Based on the screenshot it looks correct to me. Panel is opaque because the app
is maximized. can you tell/show us how it looks like when there is no app
maximized/touching the panel. It should be translucent.
