Bug ID: 487150 Summary: Blue dot in lower right part of updates icon persists after software update and reboot. Discover indicates system up to date and icon (and sometimes a banner) alerts that updates are available. Classification: Applications Product: Discover Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: kde.kindling...@passmail.net CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Persistent symptom - no specific action to initiate it. 2. Symptom does not disappear / fix itself upon reboot or logout / login. 3. [I think this is low stakes but wanted you to know about it...] 4. Unsure if it is possibly related to a prior recommended installation of a wine update package I did about 10 days ago?? Do not recall if I first observed symptom after that installation, but it did break some previously working windows based software. I have yet to untangle the wine package issue but this report is not to address that issue. OBSERVED RESULT Updates available icon shows blue dot and sometimes I get a message that updates are available. When I install updates (and usually reboot automatically) the blue dot showing non-critical updates available stays on the icon. When I launch Discover to check for updates, I get System is Up to Date message and no listed available updates. So issue is just the discrepancy between "up to date" and the icon / banner alerting me that there ARE updates available EXPECTED RESULT After installation of new software, the blue dot on the icon should disappear as it normally had...
