Bug ID: 486852 Summary: Global Keyboard Shortcut migration from Plasma 5 to Plasma 6 broken, leaves zombie entries Classification: Frameworks and Libraries Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel Version: 6.1.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@fuchsnet.ch Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I upgraded to a new fedora version which brought Plasma / Frameworks / KDE 6.* instead of 5.*, and I was noticing that all my custom global keyboard shortcuts were broken, as in: they didn't trigger the action they were configured to. Interestingly enough they were still listed under systemsettings in the keyboard shortcuts, under the service for custom / personal keyboard shortcuts, and trying to re-assign the key combination did lead to a warning that that combination is already assigned. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have KDE Plasma, Frameworks etc. pp. 5.* 2. Have custom keyboard shorcuts 3. Upgrade to Plasma, Frameworks etc. pp. 6.* OBSERVED RESULT Keyboard shorcuts are listed in settings, but they do not work (the action does not trigger) EXPECTED RESULT Preferably they are migrated in a way so they work, but if that is not feasible for whatever reason, then they should at least be cleaned out Probably important sidenote: this is from X11 to X11, no wayland / switch involved.
