SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a fresh new panel, make sure that at login no apps are starting up that
may have a system tray (systray should be empty besides the normal kde icons)
2. Disable floating
3. Re-login and you will be able to see a blank space between the network
manager icon and the show hidden items applet

OBSERVED RESULT
There is a blank space between the network manager icon and the show hidden
items icon.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be no blank space between the aforementioned icons.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0
Qt Version: 6.7.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You can fix this temporarily by doing anything that refreshes the system tray,
i.e, playing some music, opening any application that spawns a system tray
icon, editing the panel and then moving the system tray applet. But I have
still not found the reason for the problem nor a permanent fix.
