            Bug ID: 486658
Summary: Spectacle not copying to clipboard
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Spectacle
           Version: 24.02.2
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: noaha...@gmail.com
          Reporter: izerpi...@gmail.com
                CC: k...@david-redondo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Any screenshot taken with spectacle doesn't get automatically copied to the
clipboard, despite the setting being set. Also the "Copy" button doesn't copy
to the clipboard. The only way to copy the image to the clipboard is to click
"copy" in the hamburger menu of the notification that pops up when you take a
screenshot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable and apply Spectacle>Configure>General>After taking a screenshot>Copy
image to clipboard
2. Take a screenshot (doesn't matter if it's via a keyboard shortcut, or
through the app)
3. Observe that you can't paste anything (nothing was copied)
3. Observe the same behaviour if you click the copy button within the Spectacle
app
3. Observe the error "The file or folder /tmp/<screenshot-path>.jpeg does not
exist." if you try to click on the image in the notifications.
4. Observe that, in the clipboard viewer, you can see an icon representing an
image, but no image is in the clipboard.
