Bug ID: 486155 Summary: Wayland: Clipboard popup always opens in the middle of the screen instead of at mouse position Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Clipboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: andrea.i...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 168920 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=168920&action=edit clipboard badly positioned Clipboard set to open at mouse position via global shortcut Meta+V. Cursor near the top-left corner of the screen. Invoke shortcut. Expected: clipboard opens at mouse position Actual: clipboard opens in the middle of the screen As a side effect, this also makes it impossible to pick items from the bottom of the list, or activate the entry that expands into an additional column in order to show more clipboard contents (I keep my clipboard history to something large, like 9999 items) Screenshot attached for reference I use a dual monitor setup, laptop display is scaled at 130% while external display is unscaled. The problem is reproducible on both. While trying to take the screenshot I repeatedly invoked the shortcut, and from time to time the popup would appear closer to the cursor or even at the cursor, but this definitely the exception, rather than the rule. At times I also noticed another strange behavior, where the popup would open in the middle while the cursor was far away from the middle of the screen, yet moving the mouse slightly downwards would start highlighting items in the clipboard popup! Although the cursor was nowhere near the popup itself. As if there was a weird offset compensating for the distance between the cursor and the popup. I'll try to post a screencast if I manage to reproduce it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
