Bug ID: 485246 Summary: Main photo view shows original and all versions of edited photos even when the corresponding settings are disabled Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.1.0 Platform: Kubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: ImageEditor-Save Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: barn...@waterpigs.co.uk Target Milestone: --- STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Disable the Settings -> Image Editor -> Versioning -> In Main View -> ”Always show original image” and ”Always show intermediate snapshots” settings 2. Open an image in the Image Editor 3. Make any change e.g. a crop 4. Click “Save Changes“ or “Save Changes as a new version” (both exhibit the exact same behaviour) OBSERVED RESULT Both the original and the edited image are shown in the photo list, rather than only the edited version. The edited version has _v1 appended to the file name. It does NOT occur when non-destructive editing is disabled entirely - in that case, the image editor simply overwrites the original as expected. EXPECTED RESULT Only the final edited version of the photo should be visible in the main view, no original, duplicates or intermediate stages. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 23.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-26-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 20 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-12700H -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
