That's correct, this isn't possible.
I'm also not sure it would be desirable to add this feature, because then
people could add manual line breaks in their date format and utterly break the
layout in cases where the panel isn't thick enough to accommodate that many
lines. So I don't think we'll be able to support this request, sorry.
