On Arch Linux the same problem occurs, it also happens to remember the size of
the window.. I noticed this problem on a clean install. After an update the
problem does not occur.
To contingency the problem, I added the following lines to ~/.config/konsolerc
[MainWindow]
2560x1440 screen: Height=
2560x1440 screen: Width=
@John, could you edit the problem issue and add "and the size of the window"?
